Testimonials

I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in 2020. Marlene Fuller connected me with another woman who had been through the same diagnosis as myself. Talking with Carol about what to expect was such a blessing. I have gone through 16 rounds of chemo a double mastectomy and 25 rounds of radiation. I am now 5 years cancer free. Not just a survivor but a thriver!!

Thank you for sending me such a wonderful gift.  My medical bills are outrageous since I was diagnosed with a rare thyroid cancer in 2016 and still battling today.  It was such a blessing and surprise to receive a check in the mail. Thank you for your commitment to this cause

God shined a light on me sometimes in life you have to lean on someone and when you don’t know who you can turn to because a lot of people that are in charge of funding people for various reasons are not always helpful or tell you check back in months you may not have that kind of time to wait but I found this organization and right away help was given I didn’t know how I was going to make it to radiation treatments but Marlene did and I am so grateful 🥲

Thank you High Desert Cancer Connection for everything you have blessed me with.  You were a true God send when I needed it most.

I had to take time off work and worried about how I was going to make ends meet.  You helped me with my rent and gave me resources to go to.

You Sent me things that were so helpful in my chemo recoveries.  My ginger chews help me with my nausea.  And I am enjoying each and every tea that you Sent me.  They are very helpful when I am feeling unwell after my treatments.   And the chicken soup for the soul book… this was a very thoughtful book.  I have really enjoyed it and all the stories in it.

It is reassuring to know that there are people like you out there to help us as we fight cancer and just get thru the daily struggles of this.

It’s not an easy road but you made it a little bit easier to deal with and gave me peace of mind.

I appreciate everything that you have done for me.

Thank you for your compassion.

I am still going thru chemo treatments but I stay positive and strong everyday.

I hope others will too.

I just wanted to express our heartfelt thanks for the generous gift of $200 that my father recently received. Your kindness and support during such a challenging time truly mean more than words can say.

Navigating the financial and emotional burdens of a cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and gestures like yours remind us that we’re not alone in this journey. Your thoughtfulness brought a bit of light into our lives and lifted some of the weight we carry 🙏🤍

Please know that we are deeply grateful for the compassion and care you extend to families like ours. Thank you for making a difference!

With much appreciation,

The Lenett family

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for the incredible work you do and the compassion you show to those of us navigating the difficult journey through cancer. Words cannot fully capture the impact you have made in my life, but I felt it was important to try.

Having been a volunteer myself with Relay for Life, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the dedication, energy, and passion that go into supporting cancer patients and their families. I have always admired the heart and strength each of you brings to your mission. I never imagined that one day, I would be on the receiving end of that same care and generosity.

When I was diagnosed with cancer, my world felt turned upside down. Facing this challenge, and then also enduring a stroke along the way, has been one of the most overwhelming and difficult times in my life. But knowing that I had the support of High Desert Cancer Connection and the incredible volunteers standing beside me has been nothing short of a godsend.

From the kind words and encouragement to the thoughtful gestures and resources you provide, you have given me more than support—you’ve given me hope. In moments when I’ve felt weak, your strength has lifted me. In moments of uncertainty, your compassion has reminded me that I’m not alone.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all that you do!  Jeff
